Teaching and learning
We are involved in the regular teaching activities at the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences on Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral level. Additionally, we organise several seminars with internal and external collaborators to discuss our findings and keep track of the newest research developments.

From classroom to outcrop
An integral part of studying geology and volcanology is the observation of magmatic and volcanic rocks in the field and the mapping of structural relations. As a part of the Master's course "Volcanology" an excursion is organized to different volcanic settings each year. This has included trips to Iceland, the Eifel volcanic field in western Germany, Kos and Nisyros islands in Greece and the Capeverde islands.
